I run Windows 2000 Professional. I've found it to be quite stable and a joy to run compared to Windows 98/ME. Still haven't made the jump to Linux.
This computer cost somewhere around $600 in May-September 2000.
I purchased parts from Computer Super Sale, Essencom, and PC-Beyond over the Internet.
